Acrylic Paint and Wood
24x20x2 inches
I toggle between paint brushes and wood shop tools: table saw, band saw, belt sander, carving gauges and the like. In "Groove" one can see several 1/8 inch dadoes cut across the wood panel creating an a series of vertical and horizontal lines across a field of distinct marks and colors. This one edge on this piece that casts the fringed shadow was also cut using a table saw.
Wood work and joinery is a long time passion that I incorporate into my studio work.
*This piece has several display orientations to adjust for lighting and cast shadow effect.
